Did you know that Yahweh loves you so much, longing for an personal relationship with you, that he even set a whole day aside to spend with you? That he provides for all your needs, so you don't need to work on that day and instead may be strengthend in him?
The Sabbath is one of the greatest blessings in our weekly life! - A holy appointment once a week, a whole day that we may spend with our heavenly father, the creator of heaven and earth to be strengthend and refreshed in him - an everlasting covenant between him and us, his children.
Let us read what His word says about it!
And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had made. And He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it... (Gen 2:1-3)
And he set it to be a sign between him and the children of Israel for ever
(Ezek 20:20):
It is a sign forever between Me and the sons of Israel; for in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed. (ex 31:17)
Therefore
(Mark 2:27) he also wants us to rest on the seventh day: that also we may be refreshed
(Ex 23:12) and draw near to him (
Eze 46:3,
Isa 66:23).
And so the Sabbath is full of blessings and promises:
So says Yahweh: Keep justice and do righteousness, for my Y’shua (Salvation) is coming soon, and My righteousness will be revealed.
Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; keeping the Sabbath, from defiling it; and keeping his hand from doing every evil.
...For so says Yahweh to the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths and choose things I am pleased with, and take hold of My covenant:
