"all that is within me, bless His
holy name" !
(Ps 103:1),
Elohim is holy
(1Sam 2:2),
and His name worthy to be praised!
(Ps 99:3),
The very first thing Yahshua told us about praying, is to give reverence to the Father's name
Our Father who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. (Mat 6:9)
But instead of bringing praise, we called him by the name of a worthless pagan babylonian deity (God,
Is 65:11),
and instead of bringing honor to His Name we replaced it by the constant use of generic titles (Lord).
I am Yahweh; that is My name; and I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to engraved images.
(Is 42:8)
and he is jealous for His holy name
(Ezek 39:25)
And Elohim said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial from generation to generation. Exo 3:15
The third commandment tells us
"You shall not take the name of YHWH your Elohim in vain."
(Ex 20:7)
In vain means to
change,
falsify or to
make common.
Yet, mankind has erased the very one personal name of our heavenly father out of our bibles, to replace it with the title LORD.
(Is 52:5)
But it was promised that He would reveal His name again to His people in all nations in the end time
(Mal 1:11):
"and they shall know that My name is Yahweh"
(Jer 16:21)
And He is merciful to forgive our false worship in the past
Truly, then, Yahweh overlooking the times of this ignorance, but now strictly commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30)
Therefore now, after He revealed His holy name to us
(Joh 17:6)
(Heb 2:12)
according to his promise
(Jer 16:21)
let us draw closer to Him; let us give honor to the one who was, and is, and is to come and bring glory to His holy name, Yahweh.
Then those fearing Yahweh spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Yahweh gave attention and heard. And a Book of Remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Yahweh, and for those esteeming His name (Mal 3:16)
